The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) is the only body in England & Wales to focus exclusively on matters relating to the management of residential leasehold blocks of flats.
The Leasehold Advisory Service is an Executive Non Departmental Public Body (ENDPB) funded by Government to provide free advice on the law affecting residential leasehold property in England and Wales.
The Leasehold Knowledge Partnership, (LKP,) specialises in advising managing agents in order to promote best practice in leasehold block or development management. LKP first simple aim is to restore trust in managing agents, some of whose reputation is now under serious scrutiny. It is doing this via an Accreditation Scheme which endorses all those who sign up to basic good standards such as: transparency regarding accounts, managing the correct payment of interest on sinking funds etc.
At Property Redress Schem (PRS) we resolve complaints from consumers about chartered surveying firms, surveyors, estate agents, residential managing agents, letting agents and other property professionals. When a complaint is made to a company in one of these sectors and it has not been resolved within eight weeks we may be able to sort it out. The Government has announced plans to limit charges for householders disposing of Do It Yourself (DIY) waste at recycling centres across the country from 31 December 2023.
This means you will be able to dispose of some DIY waste for free. This applies to small-scale projects carried out by householders on their own home.
